Let sports be sports, let politics be politics. Team Taiwan should not bear the absurd name “Chinese Taipei”. Leave politics out of the Olympic Games

· Own Country Code: 886
· Own Currency: New Taiwan Dollar
· Own President and Parliament, elected in free elections
· Taiwanese enjoy a full democratic multi-party political system
· Own judiciary system
· Own Military. backed by the Taiwan Relations Act (TRA ; Pub.L. 96–8, 93 Stat. 14, enacted April 10, 1979; H.R. 2479)
· Taiwanese do not pay taxes to China!
· Own passport!
· Own Language: Taiwanese. Generations born before 1945 spoke only Taiwanese and Japanese
· Taiwanese language does not come in written form (Note: modern day Taiwanese vocabulary is comprised of Portuguese, Dutch, Hokkien, Japanese, and Mandarin. The Presbyterian missionary was the first to create written Taiwanese in the pe̍h-oē-jī orthography in the 1800’s. But it is not widely used)
